Turns out one of our neighbors owns this. According to him, this is one of eight VW Pumas imported to the US from Brazil. Also, I’ve included the ‘62 Austin Healey 3000 and ‘56 Jaaaaaaaag I found at a show yesterday.

I actually saw my first Puma in person last week. The guy who owns it is a VW head and races a super Vee.

Theres more than 8 (maybe only 8 ragtops?) From what I recall (I didn’t take notes) they mainly came in minus engines- as kits. Originally they had DKW 2 stroke engines.

EDIT: I hadda go look it up to make sure I got it right.

Saw a Puma on the road last summer, have a picture somewhere. Vanity plate said “aircool”.
